Website Overhaul (V3) - Spring Break Special (RELEASE 3 - March 20, 2022)

Welcome back! Hope you had a relaxing Spring Break!

I sincerely apologize for the unavailability of CHS Time before Spring Break, it was blocked from OCPS' Wi-Fi. However, if you're able to see this now, it's been finally approved :) That aged well :') Still working on it! WE'RE BACK!!

WEBSITE CHANGES:

• Reformatted the entire website:
• Expanded website compatibility to various screen sizes
• Merged current and next period indicators to reduce clutter
• Split the main page in two, one section for the timer information, the second for future schedule updates.
• Made changes to the website style and colors
• Made Quality of Life changes:
• The timer will now also show up on the tab, so you can keep an eye on the clock without clicking onto the page.
• Added a map of the school when you scroll down on the main page. (Freshman Campus map coming soon)
• [Finally] added personalization -- changeable backgrounds!
• Added a 10/10 indicator, it will appear below the progress bar when 10/10 is in effect.
• Added some extra features ;)
• Added animations to the progress bar.

NEWS:

• The CHS Time Chrome extension has been discontinued due to third-party extensions being disabled by the district. It will no longer be updated.
• CHS Time now has an official Instagram page! Get school announcements and future updates on the website and bell schedule there! ( @chstime_fl )

OTHER:

• As always, please let me know what you think about V3 using the Feedback Form or on Instagram!

Update 4.1.1 - Alert Update (RELEASE 2 - April 5, 2021)

WEBSITE CHANGES:

• Implemented an alert that plays between transition periods. This has been rolled out to both Main Campus and Freshman Campus pages.

UPCOMING FEATURES:

• Updated extension to V2 layout
• Alerts for CHS Time extension
• Mute/unmute button for alerts.

Update 4.0.1 - Hotfix (RELEASE 2 - April 4, 2021)

WEBSITE CHANGES:

• Fixed the home button being on the wrong layer. This can be seen by split screening the chrome window. (Dragging the chrome window to the left or rightmost side of your screen and letting the window halve your screen) - Thanks, Mrs. Hiner!

Recreation: V2 (4.0) (RELEASE 2 - December 15, 2020)

WEBSITE CHANGES:

• It's been a while since I worked on this website, time to release some stuff!

• Fixed formatting and sizing issues on the Home page.
• Freed the timer from the October 16th loop.
• Adjusted the color scheme.
• Tidied up some mess.
• Added a slightly subtle animation to the background.
• Fixed some Main Campus timings
• Fixed text clipping when too long, especially the "current" and "next" period placeholders during lunches.



• Now for the obvious:

• Added a progress bar at the top of the website, mainly for hype as you see it fill up throughout the school day.
• Added progress TIMER. This is a second timer that counts down to the very end of the school day.
• Shifted the layout around and completely changed the design; dusted some furniture.
• Moved (nearly) all buttons into one dropdown box for navigation.

• It's finally here!! The official release of the CHS Bell Schedule monitoring tool for both Main AND Freshman campuses!
